Housing

The Blaine Lake Housing Authority administers the Social Housing Program on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. The program is committed to providing safe, adequate, and affordable housing to individuals and families who would otherwise be unable to secure suitable accommodation. Tenants benefit from stable housing, a welcoming community, and the peace of mind that comes with a place to call home.

How to Apply

Applications are available through the Saskatchewan Housing Authority:

Eligibility

To be considered for social housing, applicants must qualify as an intended client under one of the following categories:

Senior Housing (24 units)

Individuals or couples aged 55 or older, or individuals approaching age 55 who have a permanent physical or cognitive disability.

Family Housing (5 units)

Households with dependent children or adult dependents.

In addition to meeting client category requirements, all applicants must satisfy citizenship, income, and asset limit criteria. Applicants are required to complete an application form and provide supporting documentation to verify income and assets. All personal information submitted is kept strictly confidential.

Applications are reviewed for eligibility and approved by the housing authority board of directors. Approved applicants are placed on a waitlist and allocated a unit based on availability, using a priority point score system.
